“How cool” is not adequate to describe the Mosquito Zero. Awesome, maybe. Beautiful, breathtaking, grand, impressive, magnificent, majestic, mind-blowing, moving, striking, stunning. You could apply any of these adjectives or make up your own. After you understand what two brothers Olivier and Nicolas Chambon accomplished, you can double up the adjectives.
Since I developed an interest in recumbents and began searching the internet for information, the Mosquito Velomobiles site has been of interest to me. At first I didn’t know enough to understand their concepts, but over the months as my knowledge grew my understanding of their work grew.
I begin to study the concept of making a skin on frame velomobile for my delta trike and my search for this information redirected my attention back to the Mosquito Zero skin on frame body. What a work of art.
After a build of three years, Mosquito Zero is finished. How cool. Thanks Olivier and Nicolas for sharing your experiences and expertise.
Maybe you can reserve this lengthy read for a rainy day. Between the build thread on the French forum, Le Forum du Vélorizontal (Chrome translates) and the brothers’ Mosquito Velomobiles web site, you can spend a couple of educational and entertaining hours.
