Yesterday I was adding new found links to my blog, I happened across Lonnie Morse’s blog on recumbent aerodynamics. Although not technical in nature, it has a lot of useful information for someone that has future plans for adding fairings or a tailbox to their recumbent. Lonnie sells a tail frame, that looks worth the money, to add some low cost aerodynamics to your bent.
I found his blog on Aerodynamic Expectations most interesting. This is his observations rather than scientific testing, but gave me plenty to work with in making decisions on where I wanted to place my money on future builds.
Streamliners vs Velomobiles article is explains why we see velomobile’s being built instead of 2 wheel streamliners.
And my favorite subject, touring. Here is the Crazy Guy account of a group, including Lonnie, on their Six Warriors: A Recumbent Caper Across the USA. Well done guys.
