Dug Shelby will be riding 5,000 miles across the continental United States to raise awareness for victims of human trafficking. Helping to draw attention and raise much needed funds for those organizations he has chosen that are helping these victims in crucial ways has been his focus for the last couple of years. Please join Dug in this journey, and consider donating to this cause. All funds will go towards the organizations he is helping. His blog will chronicle the entire process of this journey, from the planning, to the gear, the map routing, sponsors and the ride itself. Bookmark him, add him on Twitter, find him on Facebook and donate to this cause through his “GoFundMe” page!
Dug is riding a recumbent on this tour. This recumbent is not the normal big name that you are apt to recognize. This recumbent is a special build by artisan builder Klaus Volkmann. A musician from Brazil who, in his spare time, builds bamboo recumbents.
The bike is now finished and in road testing. The build has been posted on his blog. Great pictures and great story.

Thank you for such a nice write-up! I can’t tell you how much I appreciate that! Great blog here, I followed and bookmarked it. Blessings!
Dug
Thanks Dug, best of luck to you.
